Gel Deep Cycle:
The special feature of gel batteries is that the liquid electrolyte is bound in a gel through the addition of silicic acid. They are maintenance-free, so no water needs to be topped up.

When driving short distances the battery is not supplied with sufficient operating current (from the alternator) from the vehicle. AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) is used for vehicles of the upper middle class and Premium vehicles. These vehicles have automatic start-stop systems (with brake energy recovery), sophisticated accessories and state-of-the-art equipment. Starter batteries with AGM technology are installed in these cars ex works, so we recommend using an AGM battery when replacing them. If a battery with other technology is installed, this can lead to failure of the automatic start-stop system and comfort functions.
EFB batteries have been specially developed for vehicles with demanding driving behaviour. These are cars with simple automatic start-stop systems (without brake energy recovery)and models without automatic start-stop that are mainly used in city traffic. These maintenance-free EFB batteries are also often used in cars with many electrical consumers such as seat heating, multimedia and navigation systems.
The basic guideline is Capacity of the previously installed (old) battery. However, the capacity values can be slightly (+/- 10%) deviate.
