Workation - A winning formula for corporate networking and growth

Hamburg / World - Linked to the introduction of the workation approach AKKU SYS flexible working with travel experience, thereby supporting employee retention and company growth. Remote working, part-time work and a basic intercultural understanding are important factors for employers and employees.

Workation - a symbiosis of work and holiday - is becoming increasingly attractive. Most companies have firmly integrated remote working, mobile working and working from home into their work structures, but for the most part not voluntarily. As we know, it was the coronavirus pandemic that forced a rethink.

However, while many companies are at least partially tying their employees back to their desks, colleagues are even leaving the country, at least temporarily, with the support of the wholesaler. After all, Workation offers employees the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world.

Vanessa Wurster (Head of E-Commerce) and Lisa Bleser (Head of Online Marketing) have successfully implemented the Workation concept at AKKU SYS introduced. During their three-month tour of South America, they were able to easily combine their work with cultural and language experiences.

"We adapted our working hours to the time difference and were therefore able to work efficiently with the team. After work, we also had enough time to explore new places and immerse ourselves in the Latin American culture," reports Vanessa Wurster.

The work was organised effectively through careful planning and the use of efficient communication tools.

In the background interview, the two give numerous tips and emphasise what you should look out for. They are certain of one thing: the workation also gave them the opportunity to organise their free time in a variety of ways, from sightseeing and visiting museums to taking part in the famous carnival in Rio and hiking to Machu Picchu.

Managing Director Joachim Koop sees AKKU SYS a great opportunity: "If we want to maintain our growth target of around 75% in turnover in 2022, our approach to modern working is a fundamental factor. The possibility of working from other locations around the world - if this is organisationally feasible - is not only attractive for existing and potential employees, but also enables us to expand our own network."
