NEW: Trojan AES

Example of a battery for Trojan golf carts.

The new AGM batteries in Trojan's AES series combine the advantages of AGM and lithium batteries. They offer 1,200 charge cycles at 100 % depth of discharge. Unlike conventional AGM batteries, they can be fully discharged without shortening their service life. The range is increased with the same charging voltage. This makes them ideal for intensive use. These properties make Trojan AES batteries a powerful and cost-effective solution for cleaning machines.

Overview of different battery technologies

We offer a wide range of 6 V, 8 V or 12 V batteries for cyclical use, which are tailored to the different requirements of golf carts:

  • Deep-cycle batteries (lead-acid):
    Proven, low-maintenance, low-cost wet-cell battery, up to 1,200 cycles (50 % DOD)
  • TTB batteries (lead-acid):
Low-maintenance, robust, high operational reliability, up to 1,500 cycles (75 % DOD)
  • AGM batteries (lead-fleece):
Fast charging capability, robust, maintenance-free, up to 1,200 cycles (100 % DOD)
  • Lithium-ion batteries:
Particularly long service life, maintenance-free, low weight, low self-discharge, up to 4,000 cycles (70 % DOD)

Consider the requirements of your vehicle and the operating conditions. We offer a wide selection of compatible traction batteries for various models. Our experts will be happy to advise you on choosing the right battery.

Are there any comparable products for Trojan?

Yes, Q-Batteries offers high-quality and cost-effective alternatives with comparable properties.

What are the advantages of converting to lithium batteries?

Our lithium iron phosphate batteries have a longer service life and a higher usable capacity than conventional lead-acid batteries. They also offer higher cycle stability, which means they can go through more charge and discharge cycles without loss of performance. They are also much lighter and maintenance-free, which reduces operating costs and makes them easier to handle.

What needs to be considered when converting to lithium?

Converting golf carts to lithium batteries is easy. However, you need special chargers to ensure a constant charging current and a constant end-of-charge voltage. In contrast to lead batteries, it is important that the charger switches off automatically after the charging process. The specific requirements of the new batteries must also be taken into account, such as the maximum charging voltage and the optimum storage temperature. Our experts will be happy to advise you.

How do I find the right charger?

Optionally, you can retrofit onboard chargers with a Schuko plug so that you are not tied to a fixed charging station. It is important that the charger matches the battery technology. Our high-frequency chargers from S.P.E. and TCE Neos ensure optimum charging and extend the service life of your batteries. Lithium-ion batteries require special chargers that guarantee a constant charging current and end-of-charge voltage.

What do I need to bear in mind when maintaining wet batteries?

Wet batteries must be topped up regularly. Use demineralised water for this and check the water level. As a safe and time-saving solution for filling your batteries, we recommend a water drop container, which you can also find in our online shop.
