Munich / Hamburg - AKKU SYSa leading wholesaler in the photovoltaic and energy storage industry, will be present at EES / Intersolar, the renowned trade fair for solar technologies, in Hall 2 at Stand B2.255. The new a-TroniX-series with storage solutions and inverters for households and businesses will be presented. At the joint stand with AkkuSmart, a subsidiary for commercial and industrial projects, practical examples will be shown. This is also where there will be an exchange on specialised topics such as peak shaving, storage systems for ground-mounted systems and sector coupling.
The experts from AKKU SYS are looking forward to informing visitors about the latest developments in photovoltaic and storage technology at EES / Intersolar from 14 - 16 June. As a reliable partner for homeowners, commercial enterprises and industrial plants, the AKKU SYS Group for comprehensive advice and customised solutions for solar energy and storage systems.
"EES / Intersolar is a unique opportunity to get to grips with the latest trends and technologies in the storage and solar industry. We are looking forward to presenting our expertise as a wholesaler to a wide audience and providing valuable insights into the most advanced photovoltaic and storage solutions," says Managing Director Joachim Koop.
Dynamic demand for storage systems continues
Not only the demand at the AKKU SYS Group points to the trend. Current market data emphasises the increasing importance of photovoltaic systems and storage solutions. The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) estimates that the total output of all installed photovoltaic systems in Germany will exceed 60 gigawatts by the end of 2022. A large proportion of this output is now also stored temporarily. The German Solar Industry Association (BSW) reports that the number of installed home storage systems in Germany rose to around 250,000 units in 2022, which corresponds to an increase of over 50% compared to the previous year.
Battery storage systems - such as those at the AKKU SYS presented systems from a-TroniX - increased massively in 2022. According to the German Solar Industry Association, 627,000 home storage systems were installed in German households last year (+52% compared to the previous year).
Correspondingly Larger solutions are increasingly becoming the focus of trade and industry. One particular challenge facing the industry is sector coupling, which is also becoming increasingly important as part of the political requirements for decarbonisation. Germany wants to become climate-neutral by 2045. Coordinating energy systems in large-scale plant technology is a special challenge that AkkuSmart, among others, is facing.
"Our own growth of over 70% from the previous financial year to 180 million euros is impressive proof that more and more households and businesses are utilising the benefits of renewable energies," says Koop. "Over 250 employees at the AKKU SYS Group are proud to play their part in promoting this positive development."
